Fashion Buying And Merchandising Degrees

You will consider current consumer trends and increasing consumer power and consumer participation. The implications of new and emerging markets will also be discussed, as will historical and cultural aspects of the move towards consumerism. The module provides an introduction to a range of data sources and analytical tools concerning market and consumer trends.

You will experience both studio and location shooting and learn about digital image production and manipulation, including high-end and non-destructive retouching and video editing techniques. Fashion degrees are very industry-focused; from day one of your course you will be preparing for your future career. There will be a lot of independent study to help you develop your own identity and voice, but you will have the chance to learn a variety of creative and technical skills, build up a professional portfolio and exhibit your work. You’ll get a personal tutor to guide you through your course, all the way to graduation. You might also want or need extra support during your time with us.

Fashion Degrees

In a changing social and technological environment, traditional ways of running a business are under question and design thinking can bring about dynamic and creative solutions to solving complex or ‘wicked’ business problems. Through exploration of different contexts and case studies and by asking ‘what if? ’ this module stimulates and inspires students to build a valuable repertoire of knowledge and skills to take forward in their fashion career.
